Jesus wants us to reach our world with His message. That message is a message of reconciliation, a message of hope, a message of forgiveness, a message of freedom.
Church we have the greatest news in all the world, BUT we’re not sharing it. Is it because we don’t care that our friends are dying and going to Hell? Is it that we aren’t loving? Is it that we are selfish? I don’t think so.
I think it’s because we’re scared. What will our family think if we tell them about Jesus? What will our friends say if we talk about God? How will our neighbors react, if we tell them the Good News?
I realize that fear is a dominate emotion in many of us. We don’t want to be different. We just want to be liked to fit in. Strangely enough, this isn’t a teenage problem, its a human condition.
So what do we need to do? First, start praying for someone who is far from God. Second, spend time with them. Third, tell your Faith Journey Story. Fourth, invite them to pray to God with you. Fifth, ask them if they want Jesus to save them from their sins and transform their life. Sixth, invite them to come to Brookfield.
You don’t have to do these all in a specific order, BUT start praying for someone today!
